Challenge
The Enduro India Challenge is an awesome experience. Nothing we can say on this website will ever prepare you for the way you'll feel when your Enfield Bullet is chugging up through the Western Ghat mountain range or spluttering into life on a misty morning, high up on a forested hillside. Nothing we can say on these pages will prepare you for the nerves you'll feel on starting the challenge, the pure adrenalin you'll feel on most of the rally's stages or the sheer joy and exhilaration you'll experience on completing the tour. This website cannot give you even a glimpse of the friendships you'll make, or how much your perception of life will have changed on completion of the trip.

Enduro India is by no means Paris-Dakar but it is certainly not a 'quick blast out' on a Sunday morning. It is a demanding ride through some of the most challenging and dramatic scenery south India has to offer. The ride will test your confidence, spirit and determination at times and can be both physically and mentally draining. Although the ride can be tough in certain stages we know several bikers who passed their test to be able to take part in the previous events. It is more a test of endurance than skill on a bike. Although we will be riding for quite some time each day, there is rarely a feeling of having to rush, the ride is a team event and you will be looked after by your team-mates at every stage. There is full medical support, radio communication and breakdown recovery and every team will have an extremely experienced team leader to see them through. Most of the roads have reasonable to good surfaces, the accommodation is clean and basic and the food is excellent.

The most important qualities you will need to take part are a sense of humour, a helpful, open-minded attitude and the ability to work as a team, or think for yourself, when the circumstances demand it. You should be mature enough to look after yourself whilst keeping an eye out for the others around you. It will also help if you are reasonably fit.

Tour
Over the last eight years around 800 individuals from all walks of life left their usual routine behind to participate in their own personal challenge and to help others less fortunate than themselves. Their aim - to complete a gruelling motorbike ride across southern India, covering some of the most beautiful and demanding terrain this stunning area can offer. They travelled long distances across mountains and desert plains, through protected wildlife reserves and ancient forests.

Set amidst some of India's most stunning scenery, this challenge offers you the opportunity to explore the diverse regions of Goa, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu on a Royal Enfield Bullet. Without a doubt this is the perfect bike for the job - the Enfield is at home with the challenging roads and variable conditions that lie ahead. Whether negotiating one of the hundreds of spectacular hairpin bends that cut deep into the side of the Western Ghat mountain range or riding through one of the many wildlife reserves with the sun setting behind you, you will find the experience of India exhilarating and memorable.

If the thought of remote beaches, forest hill stations, fragrant tea plantations, waterfalls, spectacular mountain scenery and incredibly friendly villages appeals to you, then so will the evenings spent around a roaring camp fire nestled in the heart of a mountain range with the cry of the wild for company.
